The works included removing the existing surfaces, completing sub-base and kerb repairs, laying asphalt regulating courses and installing a new resin-bound finish using Daltex Golden Quartz aggregate. Utility covers were also repaired, adjusted or replaced, with overhanging vegetation cut back where required.
As the works took place within an occupied residential estate, the programme was carefully phased around homes, garages, building entrances and a nursery. Temporary barriers, signage and alternative routes were provided to maintain safe access, while residents received regular updates on the planned activities.
Parking suspensions and individual work areas were coordinated in advance to minimise disruption. The team also managed unforeseen drainage, sub-base and utility-cover issues identified as the existing paths were opened up.
The project was completed with access maintained throughout, providing residents and other estate users with safer, more durable and visually improved footpaths.
