Project: Norman Park Car Park Resurfacing
Client: London Borough of Bromley
Service: Highway Infrastructure Enhancement

Loughman undertook the comprehensive resurfacing and enhancement of Norman Car Park in Bromley, a key public facility serving Norman Park. The project’s primary objective was to significantly improve the car park’s functionality, aesthetics and user experience through targeted highway infrastructure upgrades.

Our scope of works included the full replacement of the existing tarmac surface with a smoother, more durable material, directly enhancing the driving and parking experience. We also implemented a new car park layout with clear, precise remarking to optimise accessibility and traffic flow, contributing to safer and more efficient vehicle movement.

Loughman also installed new, user-friendly signage and created a designated recycling area to further improve the facility’s overall functionality. Despite challenges such as limited access, which we addressed through meticulous pre-planning, and the need to maintain public access during works, our team successfully scheduled operations to avoid peak times, minimising disruption to park users. Close communication with Bromley Council throughout the project ensured compliance and high client satisfaction. The project culminated in an enhanced, more accessible, and visually appealing car park, delivering improved infrastructure and a superior user experience.
